Hey man, I just wanted to let you know your "Functional Programming in C#" talk in The Hague was my favorite one in the whole conference. I am a bit busy right now with a project but as soon as possible I will experiment with some functional stuff in C#. Cheers from Amsterdam

Hi Oliver,

I totaly agree with Alex. I also hope that you guys at DevExpress decide to make your pivotgrid control available in Silverlight soon.

Great talk Oliver!
I am talking about LINQ at a company "knowledge" meeting this month and will try to incorporate some of the stuff in your slides as well. Am for sure going to read up and on Functional Programming.

Well, just wanted to add my thanks for your presentations in The Hague: for the first time I understood how closures work, although I kind of used them years ago, in Perl, but without to really understand how it worked...
I came to your speaches trying to find an alternative, mainly to the oo (classes oriented ;-) ) programming, and after reading comments like "once you taste the functional programming, you never want to go back to the imperative style, and cannot explain how you were so stupid not to have switched before..."
Not that I'll completely jump right now to fp, but the start is done. Again: thanks.
(PS. Intrigued by the antispam test answer I had to ... compute, and curious to see if anything more then the longed waited for answer of the legendary supercomputer, I just typed "42" in Google's search text box and found a quite fat page on Wikipedia, very interesting actually, among the stuff there something funny: http://www08.wolframalpha.com/screencast/introducingwolframalpha.html :-) )
