I have the same problem as far as Onenote 2007 is concerened but for Outlook Search I had the problem. I read that the TERMINAL SERVCES foryou computer must be set to AUTOMATIC for the search to work proplery. After doing so, the outlook 2007 search works fine but still Onenote finds nothing.

Hope this helps you for outlook atelast. But if you do get a work around for onenote, do let me know...
