The Smartphone edition only supports DHCP and does not allow a static IP to be set. Thus, Smartphone version of Windows Mobile can't connect to static WiFi networks. Makes many of the new PDAs and phones coming out that run the Smartphone version of Windows Mobile useless for many (i.e. Dash, etc.) Doesn't MSFT research what percentage of people use static IP's versus dynanmic? Typical of Microsoft to leave that out and further alienate their potential users.
